Shipping & Returns
Last updated: May 2026
Our oils are perishable, food-grade products. We've built our shipping and returns process around getting your bottles to you quickly, safely, and in the same condition they left the cellar.
1. Where we ship
We currently ship across the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Norway. We're working on expanding to North America in 2027. If your country isn't listed at checkout, email us — we may be able to arrange a custom shipment.
2. Shipping rates
Standard shipping is a flat €8 within France, €12 across the EU, and €18 to the UK, Switzerland, and Norway. Free standard shipping on all orders over €60. Express shipping (1–2 business days within the EU) is available at checkout for an additional fee.
3. Processing & delivery times
Orders placed before 12:00 CET on a business day are dispatched the same day. Orders placed after that, or on weekends and public holidays, ship the next business day. Standard delivery typically takes 2–4 business days within France, 3–6 across the rest of the EU, and 4–8 for the UK, Switzerland, and Norway. You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your parcel is on its way.
4. Packaging
Every bottle ships in a dark, opaque package to protect the oil from light. Bottles are wrapped individually in protective sleeves and packed in recyclable, moulded pulp inserts designed to absorb impact. Our outer cartons are FSC-certified and fully recyclable. We do not use plastic fillers.
5. Temperature & storage in transit
Olive oil is sensitive to extreme heat and cold. In summer months (June–August), we ship Monday through Wednesday only to avoid weekend delays in warm warehouses. In winter, oil may cloud or solidify slightly in cold transit — this is harmless and reverses at room temperature within a few hours. It does not affect quality or flavour.
6. Customs, duties & taxes
EU orders are shipped with all VAT included — no further charges on arrival. UK, Swiss, and Norwegian orders may be subject to local import duties and VAT, which are the responsibility of the recipient. We declare the full commercial value on all customs forms; we cannot mark shipments as gifts or undervalue them.
7. Lost, delayed or damaged parcels
If your parcel hasn't arrived within 10 business days of dispatch, or if it arrives damaged, email hello@reallygoodoil.co within 7 days of delivery with your order number and, for damaged items, photos of the packaging and bottles. We'll replace the affected items or refund you in full — your choice. We cover the cost of replacements; you don't need to ship anything back.
8. Returns on unopened bottles
Under EU consumer law, you have 14 days from delivery to change your mind on unopened, unused products. To return an unopened bottle in its original packaging, email us first for return instructions. Return shipping is at your expense, and we recommend a tracked service — we can't refund items that don't reach us. Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving the return.
9. Opened bottles & food safety
For food safety and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on opened bottles. If something tastes wrong — rancid, off, or simply not what you expected — please tell us. We take quality seriously, and if there's a real fault with the oil, we'll make it right with a replacement or refund. Personal taste preferences fall outside this policy, but we're always happy to help you find the right oil next time.
10. Order changes & cancellations
If you need to change or cancel an order, email us as soon as possible. We can usually amend or cancel orders before they're dispatched (typically within 1–2 hours of placement on a business day). Once a parcel has shipped, we can't recall it, but you can return unopened items under our 14-day policy above.
11. Wholesale & trade orders
Wholesale, restaurant, and trade orders follow separate shipping and returns terms agreed in your account or on your purchase order. For questions, write to wholesale@reallygoodoil.co.
